After completing a double major undergraduate degree in Cell Biology and French Literature at UC Berkeley, Dr. Sumana Jothi completed medical school at UC San Francisco School of Medicine.
She then went on to complete an internship in General Surgery at Stanford University Hospital, and Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat) residency at UC San Diego. She returned to UCSF to complete her fellowship training in Laryngology at the UCSF Voice and Swallowing Center. |
She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of the Otolaryngology Department at UCSF, and teaches at the San Francisco VA Medical Center. She also practices at the Northern California Healthcare system VA in Martinez, CA.
She has two young boys, two puppies, and in what free time she gets, she enjoys playing tennis, dancing (Indian Classical), and enjoying time with her family. She is fluent in French and near fluent in Spanish. |
